Courses offered are intended to ensure that the education is relevant both to students' needs and interests and to the requirements of postsecondary institutions and employers. At Canada International College , the Ontario Ministry of Education approved program is designed to allow all students to choose courses that are clearly and directly linked to their intended university destinations.
University preparation courses at Canada International College are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to meet the entrance requirements for university programs. All our university preparation courses are based on the provincial curriculum expectations and are inspected and approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
The Principal of Canada International College is empowered by the Ontario Ministry of Education to grant equivalency credits (both compulsory and optional) to students who come to our college from a school outside Ontario . Canada International College courses may have prerequisites. Under special circumstances, the Principal may determine that the prerequisite should be waived. In keeping with the emphasis on high standards, students are required to successfully complete the provincial secondary school literacy test and a community involvement requirement in order to be eligible to receive an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma.
